My story

My first experience with Proem and Poland came in 2016. I went with my church in Maryland on a short-term mission trip to help out at an arts camp for kids. I had no idea what to expect, but what I found blew me away. From the staff to the kids and the facility itself, I fell in love and knew I would come back. 

The following year I went on a second trip to Poland, this time to help at a volunteer week. I had a chance to meet different people in various circumstances and grow in my understanding of the country. Something stirred in my heart seeing the people on the street. They really need Jesus, I kept thinking. After visiting the school and meeting other missionaries, I felt this strong certainty inside. It was God’s Spirit putting a firm “yes” on this thought in my heart: “I should be here.”
